A boy and his mother went to a shop.
Assalamu'alaikum.
Today I wanted to share with you a very beautiful story that I have once read years ago. It is a story of a mother, her little son and a shopkeeper. So, here it is.
One day a boy and his mother went to a shop. The shopkeeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said: Dear child, you can take the sweets. But the boy did not take. The shopkeeper was surprised how such a small boy he is and why he is not taking the sweets.
The shopkeeper said again: take the sweets, son. But the boy did not take the sweets. Now his mother noticed and asked the boy: take the sweets, dear. Until now the boy refused to take the sweets.
Seeing that, the shopkeeper took the sweets and gave to the boy himself in which he surprisingly saw the boy accepted it and very happy of getting his two hands full of sweets. While returning home, the mother asked the boy: Why didn't you take the sweets when the shopkeeper asked you to? Can you guess the response?
The boy replied: Mom, my hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few. But now you see when uncle gave with his hands how many more sweets I got!
Moral:
When we take we may get little but when Allah gives, He gives us more beyond our expectations or more than what we think of.
